Agricultural greenhouses are key toward a sustainable food supply, however they have significant energetic needs due to heating and artificial lightening. There is a push from governments, retailers and consumers to reduce carbon footprint of greenhouses. Voltiris enables double-use of large greenhouses surfaces to produce electricity without impacting their high agricultural yield. Voltiris introduces a solar panel design to generate electricity from the part of sunlight's spectrum that is unused for crop growth.

The role

Voltiris is at an inflection point. Growing fast, hiring across two countries, building the organization that carries us through the next phase. We need someone who gets results through people, who can drive the people agenda across the organization and build the infrastructure that makes scaling repeatable.

Founding role. Full ownership. Reporting to the CFO, working directly with the founding team and Operating Committee.

What you'll do

Organization

  • Drive people decisions across the organization, own the agenda, move it forward, deliver results

  • Work directly with founders on org structure and how we scale across Switzerland and Western Europe

  • Build a manager development programme that produces autonomous team leads fast

Talent

  • Own hiring across Switzerland and Western Europe end to end, first conversation to signed offer

  • Move fast on opportunities, source, engage and close rare talent in competitive deep tech and cleantech markets

  • Build the sourcing structure that makes strong hiring repeatable across both countries

Infrastructure

  • Put the pieces in place from scratch: onboarding, performance management, career frameworks, compensation and equity bands

  • Build systems that hold today and scale to 200 people without breaking

  • Own HR and legal compliance across Swiss and Dutch employment law, new entities coming next

What we're looking for

  • Built and scaled a people function in a startup or scale-up, deep tech, hardware or cleantech a plus

  • Closed specialized or rare talent in markets where candidates have options

  • Solid knowledge of Swiss employment law; Dutch a strong plus

  • Managed HR across more than one country simultaneously

  • Hands-on enough to execute today, strategic enough to structure the org we need in two years

  • Fluent English, French or Dutch a genuine advantage

  • Committed to the climate mission

What success looks like after 12 months

  • Manage hiring consistently across countries and departments; as well as onboarding and retention programs

  • People infrastructure built, trusted, and holding under growth

  • Managers delivering independently, founders no longer the default answer on people questions

  • You are the first call when something important is happening with the team or the organization
