Electronics R&D Engineer - Robotics & AGV
Maassluis, Netherlands
As Electronics R&D Engineer, you develop, test and support the electronic subsystems of robotic platforms and AGVs operating in greenhouse environments. You like working close to the hardware: debugging power electronics, sensors, controllers, wiring and communication interfaces is where you feel at home.
You play an important role in system integration together with mechanical, motion control, software and vision engineers. Your findings from testing, pilots and field support flow directly back into concrete R&D improvements.
What will you do?
- Develop, test and support electronic subsystems for robotic platforms and AGVs;
- Perform hands-on debugging of power electronics, sensors, controllers, wiring and communication interfaces;
- Work on system integration together with mechanical, motion control, software and vision engineers;
- Support pilots, installations and early deployments, including troubleshooting at customer sites;
- Identify and work with local suppliers and support the transition from prototype to small-series production.
Who are you?
You are a practical, solution-oriented electronics engineer who takes responsibility and works comfortably in a small team with broad responsibilities. You would rather solve a problem at the machine than describe it from a distance.
In addition, you bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related field;
- At least 3 years of experience in electronics development for complex systems;
- Strong hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and troubleshooting;
- A good understanding of robotic systems and/or AGVs and experience in operational or field environments;
- Experience with mobile robots, industrial automation or sourcing of electronic components is a plus.
What do we offer?
You will join an ambitious, multidisciplinary team where your work is directly visible in the field. You can also count on:
- A responsible and varied role with direct impact on a real product in the field;
- The opportunity to work on robotics technology that operates in commercial greenhouse environments;
- Short communication lines, room for initiative and a pragmatic, no-nonsense working environment;
- A pioneering role in a new Dutch team, with the opportunity to grow as the company scales;
- Good secondary employment conditions and room for personal and professional development.
