About the Role
As a Technical Consultant Climate within Ridder, you are the expert of the software implementation and (Modbus) integration of the climate control products. You support the customer with the system settings, with all systems which are related to the customer's devices, like lighting and energy management. You implement data exchange mechanisms between Ridder and AI-partner systems and you install and integrate Ridder IoT products to ensure optimal operation. You support the customers and your colleagues of the helpdesk- and service department, with technical advice.
Your stakeholders are the developers, helpdesk- and service engineers, customers and external partners.
Your Responsibilities
Support Desk
- Providing support to the Support Desk; by diagnosing and resolving complex software-related issues;
- mplement Modbus integrations for a wide range of devices, including heat pumps, HVAC-units, valves, PLCs, and fans.
- Collaborate with R&D to standardize technical solutions to meet specific control and automation objectives.
Consultancy
Work closely with our customers through site visits or remote consultation to:
- Fine-tune system settings to align with and achieve each customer’s climate control strategy.
- Analyse climate- and performance data to recommend optimal configurations and control parameters.
- Translate customer requirements into customized technical solutions within the Ridder system.
- Inform them of Ridder products and solutions that match their companies’ current or future needs.
Lighting and Energy Management
- Establish and troubleshoot control integrations for various LED providers within the Ridder system.
- Develop and implement integrated control strategies that combine lighting and energy management to meet customer’s demands and set up standards for implementation.
Ridder API and Integrations
- Implement data exchange mechanisms between Ridder and AI partner systems, enabling advanced automation and external control of the Ridder climate computer.
- Install, troubleshoot, document, and monitor the performance of Ridder IoT products to ensure optimal and reliable operation.
- Design and enable any control actions that may derive from Ridder IoT implementations.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Technical Sales team to identify, design, and recommend the most effective technical solutions for clients.
- Provide feedback to the R&D team by reporting software bugs, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Management to translate market feedback and customer insights into new product developments and continuous improvements.
About You
- You are technically curious, solution-oriented, and enjoy solving complex integration challenges.
- University or HBO (Bachelor) degree related to digital control (+ work experience)
- You have affinity with or knowledge of IoT systems, Modbus protocols, and climate control technologies.
- You work effectively in cross-functional teams and are comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You take initiative and proactively identify opportunities to optimize system performance.
