We are looking for an experienced System Architect to design and build a next-generation greenhouse climate control system from the ground up. This role combines embedded systems, AI/ML, IoT, and cloud integration into one scalable platform for sustainable agriculture.
About the role
- Define and lead the system architecture across hardware, software, and data layers.
- Design embedded control systems for sensors and actuators.
- Develop a data architecture to power AI/ML-driven climate optimization.
- Select and integrate the right technologies, protocols, and platforms.
- Collaborate with engineers, AI experts, and agronomists to deliver a modular, secure solution.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years in system or solution architecture (embedded/AI/IoT/industrial systems).
- Strong background in embedded design, real-time control, and AI/ML applications.
- Experience with cloud + edge computing and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong communicator, fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Based in the Netherlands (or willing to relocate).
Nice to have
- Experience in greenhouse tech, precision agriculture, or industrial automation.
- Knowledge of model predictive control and/or digital twin systems.
