Role Overview

As the Director India IT GCC, you will establish, build, and oversee the growth of a new entity based in Pune. This role encompasses strategic leadership, operational management, team building, and cultural stewardship. You will be the key driver in aligning our global objectives with local execution, while attracting high-caliber talent to build a diverse and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Development:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and operate the India IT GCC as a crucial part of our global operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the strategic roadmap for the GCC, ensuring alignment with the overall organizational strategy.
  • Cultivate a future-focused vision for the GCC, integrating cloud, AI/ML, and other emerging technologies to foster innovation.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the GCC, ensuring seamless service delivery to global stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement governance and performance management frameworks to meet service level agreements in recruiting, retention, and IT support.
  • Partner with global teams to ensure operational excellence and compliance with market standards.

Team Building and Leadership:

  • Attract, recruit, and mentor a high-performing team across multiple functions.
  • Empower and coach team leaders, instilling a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment, actively contributing to our diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.

Stakeholder and Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local vendors and service partners.
  • Represent and build the GCC brand locally, while maintaining communication and alignment with global business functions.
  • Provide regular updates to global leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and key achievements.

Financial Oversight and Vendor Management:

  • Lead financial planning and budget management for the GCC, ensuring cost-efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with local suppliers, negotiate contracts, and align on operational requirements.
  • Ensure that the financial health of the center aligns with broader company goals.

Technology and Innovation Enablement:

  • Champion the adoption of new technologies, such as cloud infrastructure, data analytics, AI/ML, and IT-OT, to support business growth.
  • Establish learning platforms for continuous professional development in technology and leadership.
  • Drive user experience improvements and alignment with evolving global business models.

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

  • Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree (MBA or similar) is an asset.
  • 10-15 years of leadership experience in establishing and growing Global Capability Centers
  • Proven track record of leading teams within a multinational, matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and P&L oversight.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills:
  • Exceptional people leadership skills, including influencing, coaching, and team-building.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Ability to drive cultural transformation, embedding company values and fostering an innovation-driven culture.
