Main mission, goal of position:

The Global Procurement Manager - S&IM, Capex, MRO is a senior leadership role responsible for optimizing and overseeing procurement for indirect materials and services, including HR, Welfare, Learning, Legal Services, Marketing, Corporate Services, Global IT, Engineering, R&D, ESG, and socially responsible procurement. This role will drive significant value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization, ensuring that procurement strategies align with the company's objectives and global standards.

Major areas of responsibility, main processes, tasks:

  • Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute sourcing strategies across all indirect services and materials, driving efficiency, and maximizing value.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with HR, Marketing, IT, Engineering, Legal, and ESG departments to understand and meet procurement needs while building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.
  • Supplier and Contract Management: Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
  • Digital and Analytical Proficiency: Leverage SAP, BI, and AI tools to analyze procurement data, track performance, and inform decision-making. Drive digital transformation within the procurement function.
  • RFP/RFQ Development: Craft and manage RFP/RFQ processes with precision, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with company goals.
  • ESG and Social Responsibility: Champion socially responsible procurement practices in line with Netafim’s ESG goals, fostering sustainable vendor partnerships.
  • Team Leadership: Directly manage a small team, while providing guidance to additional indirect teams across global regions to drive alignment and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in managing Indirect procurement in global companies with proven expertise in large organizations within the defined areas of responsibility (HR, IT, Corporate Services, Marketing, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of SAP, BI, and AI systems. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and digital procurement tools.
  • Language: Fluent, high-level English required; Fluent Hebrew, additional languages such as Spanish and Portuguese are an advantage.
  • Analytical and KPI-Driven: Demonstrated ability to implement and track KPIs for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
