The Lead Shift Technician is second in command to the supervisor. Maintains production lines in running conditions and trouble shoots all faults. This position works from 6pm-6am.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.)

ST certified by Netafim USA Line Engineering (LE) team

Responsible for the technical state of all production lines during shifts

Reports all technical problems to the shift supervisor

Coordinate with the On-Line QC (OLQC) operators of the shift

Follows start up, restart and changeover procedures, and fill out all pertaining forms

Communicate with outgoing and incoming ST’s

Constantly aware of production reports regarding scrap (quality), faults, line speeds, and coil weights.

Certified in Rewind operation and able to train new operators

Monitoring recycled usage both internal and external and able to handle contamination procedures

Able to submit and properly document rejections

Ensure the Grinder is operational and running to meet demand

Validate all work orders are being documented properly and setup sheets are accurate

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the supervision of team when supervisor is out.

Responsible for shift meetings. Meetings to include: problem solving, line assignments.

Other duties may apply when in the supervisory role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

HS diploma.

Fluent in English. Good writing, reading, and verbal skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

2 to 4 years’ college or 2-4 years of manufacturing experience as a technician.
