About the Position

As a Greenhouse Consultant, you will help develop the business in Canada alongside the Canadian Sales Manager by engaging with greenhouse builders, growers, and screen installers. The ideal candidate thrives in a family-oriented business culture that values honesty, innovation, and a down-to-earth approach. We’re seeking someone with a passion for the horticulture industry and a deep understanding of grower challenges and expectations. To be successful in this role, you need to be a team player with a hands-on approach and an entrepreneurial spirit. This is a remote position based in Leamington/Kingsville, Ontario. Up to 50% of travel is required, mainly in the Leamington area. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers through key account management plans
  • Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities with key growers, with an emphasis on the Leamington/Kingsville region
  • Provide climate advice and support to growers and greenhouse builders, including after-sales customer care
  • Record customer interactions in Salesforce,
  • Collaborate with the President/General Manager and Canadian Sales Manager on annual business and marketing plans
  • Represent Svensson at trade shows and industry events
  • Contribute to strategy discussions and bring ideas for business growth

What We Expect From You

Your Work Experience, Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in the CEA industry, with a solid understanding of grower needs and challenges
  • Strong grasp of greenhouse climate, technology, and crop production, ideally with knowledge of Plant Empowerment principles
  • Self-started with entrepreneurial drive and a hands-on approach, comfortable working on-site with growers
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • French and/or Spanish language proficiency is a plus
