As a Senior Platform Engineer within the Developer Experience team at Lely, you will play a key role in the development and management of our edge device solution—the technology that runs directly on the farm and is crucial to our robots.

You will ensure that this edge solution is scalable, maintainable, and fully automated according to SRE principles. In doing so, you’ll not only take on technical responsibility but also act as a sparring partner and mentor within the team. You actively embody Lely's senior values by promoting collaboration, sharing knowledge, and continuously striving for improvement.

Additionally, you will be the team’s go-to person for everything related to the edge. You take ownership, maintain an overview of the bigger picture, and know how to translate technical decisions into sustainable long-term solutions.

Your key responsibilities:

• Designing, building, and maintaining a robust and automated edge solution in line with SRE principles
• Acting as a technical leader and coach for fellow engineers within the team
• Translating technical requirements into scalable and secure edge device solutions
• Standardizing and optimizing deployment pipelines and infrastructure (CI/CD)
• Implementing security standards and monitoring solutions within the edge domain
• Proactively contributing to the technical strategy and roadmap for our platform
