Jouw meerwaarde

Wil jij jouw kennis en ervaring op het gebied van cybersecurity inzetten voor de IT-professionals van morgen? Als docent bij Inholland breng je jouw kennis uit de praktijk rechtstreeks naar studenten. Je geeft onderwijs, begeleidt studenten bij projecten en helpt hen groeien in hun vak.

Als docent Cybersecurity word jij enthousiast van het delen van kennis en het begeleiden van studenten. En dan ben je iemand die al ervaring heeft in het onderwijs, maar je kunt juist ook een cybersecurityprofessional uit het bedrijfsleven zijn die kennis wil delen en een nieuwe stap wil zetten.

Binnen Inholland kun je jouw expertise inzetten op onze onderwijslocaties in Haarlem en/of Amsterdam. In Haarlem werk je binnen de vierjarige opleiding Informatica, waar Cybersecurity onderdeel is van het onderwijs en studenten zich verder kunnen verdiepen via de minor Cybersecurity. In Amsterdam werk je binnen de tweejarige Associate degree Cybersecurity, waar studenten worden opgeleid tot startende cybersecurityprofessionals.

Heb je nog geen onderwijsbevoegdheid? Ook dan nodigen we je uit om te reageren. Je krijgt bij ons de mogelijkheid om je didactisch verder te ontwikkelen. Wil jij jouw cybersecuritykennis inzetten om studenten voor te bereiden op de praktijk? Dan maken we graag kennis met je!

Inhoud functie

Afhankelijk van jouw expertise en interesse ga je aan de slag binnen één of beide opleidingen.

In Haarlem kom je terecht in een betrokken team van ongeveer 20 collega’s binnen de opleiding Informatica. De vierjarige opleiding wordt in het Nederlands en Engels aangeboden en heeft daardoor een internationaal karakter. In de eerste twee jaar bouwen studenten een brede basis op in ICT, waaronder programmeren en informatiesystemen. In het derde en vierde jaar kunnen zij zich verder verdiepen in verschillende minoren, waaronder Cybersecurity.

In Amsterdam werk je binnen een docententeam van ongeveer 30 collega’s. Samen verzorgen jullie onderwijs binnen de Associate degree Cybersecurity en IT Service Management en verschillende bacheloropleidingen op het gebied van IT, Business IT & Management en Data Science. De Associate degree Cybersecurity is een tweejarige hbo-opleiding waarin studenten zich ontwikkelen tot startende professionals. Daarbij komen zowel technische als organisatorische aspecten van cybersecurity aan bod.

Op beide locaties staat de verbinding met de praktijk centraal. We werken nauw samen met bedrijven en organisaties uit het werkveld en met roc’s in de regio. Studenten werken onder andere aan praktijkgerichte opdrachten en projecten. In Amsterdam gebeurt dit bijvoorbeeld binnen Living Labs en Field Labs, waar studenten en organisaties uit het werkveld gezamenlijk aan actuele vraagstukken werken.

Als docent combineer je jouw vakkennis met het begeleiden en coachen van studenten. Je verzorgt lessen en workshops, begeleidt studenten bij projecten en helpt hen om hun kennis toe te passen in de praktijk. Je gebruikt daarbij afwisselende en activerende werkvormen, waarbij studenten actief bezig zijn en interactie belangrijk is.

Afhankelijk van de locatie, opleiding en jouw expertise kun je je bijvoorbeeld bezighouden met:

  • Het verzorgen van onderwijs over cybersecurity en aanverwante IT-onderwerpen;
  • Het begeleiden van studenten bij projecten en praktijkopdrachten;
  • Het coachen van studenten tijdens hun stage of afstuderen;
  • Het begeleiden van studenten in Living Labs en Field Labs;
  • Het onderhouden van contacten met organisaties uit het werkveld;
  • Het ontwikkelen en vernieuwen van onderwijs;
  • Het begeleiden van studenten bij hun professionele ontwikkeling.

Binnen Haarlem kun je jouw expertise onder andere inzetten binnen de minor Cybersecurity. Hierbij zoeken we kennis en ervaring op één of meerdere van de volgende gebieden:

  • Secure Software Development
  • Cryptography
  • System Hardening and Secure Virtual Systems
  • Cyber Incident Response and Investigation
  • The Human Factor (Preventie)
  • Ethical Hacking & Tools
  • Final Project Security

Binnen Amsterdam richt je je primair op de Associate degree Cybersecurity. Hier kun je jouw expertise bijvoorbeeld inzetten binnen één of meerdere van de volgende gebieden:

  • Security Risk Management
  • Security Compliance
  • Social Security
  • Business Continuity
  • System Security
  • Network Security
  • Data Security

Je hoeft dus niet op alle genoemde gebieden specialist te zijn. We kijken vooral naar de expertise die jij meebrengt en waar die binnen onze opleidingen het beste tot zijn recht komt.

Geen dag is hetzelfde. De ene dag verzorg je een workshop, de volgende dag begeleid je studenten bij een cybersecurityproject. Je gaat mee op werkbezoek, denkt met collega’s mee over de ontwikkeling van het onderwijs en begeleidt studenten individueel. Je krijgt de ruimte om studenten uit te dagen, te coachen en te helpen groeien in hun vak.

Je stimuleert studenten om zelf aan de slag te gaan, kritisch na te denken en nieuwe oplossingen te ontdekken. Daarbij begeleid je hen in het ontwikkelen van de kennis en vaardigheden die ze nodig hebben in de praktijk.
