Job Description for Business Analyst (Senior-Level)
Objectives and Purpose

  • The Business Analyst (Senior level) is responsible for leading the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements throughout the life of the project. Managing testing sprints which will include, Quality management, resource management, productivity, build efficiencies, time zone management & deliverables in a distributed delivery model testing
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, risk management, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Conduct advanced strategic and tactical business & data analysis with the objective of informing decision-making processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts in their duties and professional development

Your key responsibilities

  • Understand the customer business requirements and articulate them in the form of user stories, business requirement documents and representations in building wireframes
  • Analyse complex data sets to identify business and market trends, interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques.
  • Proficient at designing and implementing reporting solutions tailored for business analysis using Power Bi
  • Possess the skill to examine data and present various perspectives through visualizations to clients
  • Act as a liaison between the business team & technical team by planning, conducting, & directing analysis of complex business problems, managing risk and transforming in to a business relevant solution
  • Lead cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support client’s organizational transformation goals by understanding the operational current state, future state and business values; helping to define and drive business solutions to meet the transformation goals
  • Analyse and provide input on the methodologies and frameworks to be used during the requirement and execution of projects. Attention to detail, while staying focused on the big picture
  • Utilize strong database and analytical tool skills to carry out business and data analysis.
  • Natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users
  • Prepare BRD, FRD, SRS, User stories, Success criteria, Business case development, process models. Etc
  • Strong knowledge business case writing & in BPM (Business process management)
  • Define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
  • Strong stakeholder Management
  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions to understand business problems
  • Determine the gaps between requirements and product functionalities and define workable solutions to bridge the gaps
  • Be part of a scrum team and help Product Owner in Sprint Prioritization (Agile Knowledge)
  • Work directly with all levels through to executive & senior management across the organization
  • Experience leading a business requirement process with both technical and business partners
  • Drive and help execute Strategy by understanding the best mix of technologies and platforms
  • Collaborating intimately with the Development Team throughout the implementation phase to closely monitor and maintain fidelity to the design specifications, ensuring that the work aligns with expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presence in front of senior executives, presentation skills & Workshops
  • Ensuring successful Solution platform adoption by working closely with the Enterprise customers
  • Have experience in program /Project management

  • Capable of engaging with clients and stakeholders to discuss the constraints of requirements revised by developers, and responsible for identifying alternative solutions.

Skills and attributes for success

Technical/Functional Expertise

  • Business acumen with knowledge of the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Life Sciences sector is preferred, but not required.
  • Extensive experience in business analyst role – leading reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies
  • Understanding of GxP requirements and associated controls.
  • Understanding of quality processes like change management, deviation, CAPA and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in Power BI knowledge is required.
  • Having basics of Data Lake, Cloud computing.
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.

To qualify for the role, you must have the following:

Essential skillsets

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or a related field (MBA degree preferred)
  • Overall 6+ years of experience in business analyst field
  • Business Analysis, BPM ,Gap Analysis Preparation of URD/BRD Functional Specification, SIT, UAT, Implementation, transition to BAU, BRD/FRD, Business Analysis, Product Management, Configuration management, Requirement Analysis, Ideation & requirement gathering Workshop facilitation etc.
  • Experienced in GXP and regulatory and risk compliance
  • Proficient in Power BI or any other visualization tool
  • Strong SQL skills, data profiling, and data quality analysis
  • Basic knowledge of Data Lake, Cloud computing.
  • Experienced in Program and Project Management Life Cycle (Waterfall and Agile Methodologies)
  • Experience with SAP, ERP, Integration platforms ,MuleSoft ,SDLC & financial services
  • Experience with requirement gathering for data platform build, data migration, and development of STTM
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in using:
    • JIRA
    • Confluence
    • MS Office365 suite and MS Project
    • MS Visio
    • MS Dynamics
    • DevOps
  • Good understanding of SDLC, test process in particular
  • Good understanding of Project Life Cycle and Test Life Cycle. Exposure to CMMi and Process improvement Frameworks
  • Good understanding of assessing underlying data
  • Ability to determine key KPI’s/measures for reporting
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and operate as a leading member across globally distributed teams to deliver high-quality services and solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and interacting effectively with multifunctional teams and other strategic partners
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business priorities
