At Demcon production, we build innovative products that make a difference. From medical systems to complex high-tech products, we turn innovations from development into successful series production.

As a manufacturing engineer, you make sure our production processes keep improving. You work closely with the production floor, tackle technical and process-related challenges, and look beyond today’s solution. How can we prevent an issue from recurring? How can we get more out of our processes and production lines? And how do we translate customer requirements into reliable and manufacturable production processes?

In this role, you combine technology, production support and continuous improvement. You will see the direct impact of your work while contributing to innovative products that are used worldwide.

About Demcon

Demcon develops and manufactures advanced technology and complex systems, from concept through to series production. Driven by the ambition to solve societal and technological challenges, we combine in-depth engineering expertise with creativity to create solutions that make a real impact.

We build prototypes, industrialise and manufacture innovative systems, with a strong focus on mechatronics. In doing so, we bring together mechanical, electrical and software engineering with disciplines such as robotics, optics and data science. This enables us to support our customers throughout the entire product lifecycle.

The Demcon group consists of more than 50 specialised companies that together form a one-stop shop for high-tech innovation. With more than 1,100 colleagues worldwide, we are building the technology of tomorrow.

Within the Demcon group, Demcon Production is the partner for pre-production and series production of complex systems and innovative products.

What are you going to do?

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you ensure that our production processes run smoothly from a technical perspective and continuously improve. You work closely with the production team, support operators, and tackle technical and process-related issues at their root cause. By doing so, you prevent recurring disruptions and make our production processes more stable, smarter and more efficient. In addition, you translate customer-driven product changes into our production processes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and technically managing production lines and production processes;
  • Analysing disruptions and implementing structural solutions;
  • Improving tooling, work instructions and processes;
  • Ensuring manufacturability and quality, while managing technical risks;
  • Initiating and implementing improvements together with Production and other disciplines;
  • Applying and optimising continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, 5S, 5 Why, RCA and PDCA.

What do you bring to the table?

You are enthusiastic about technology and about what happens on the production floor. You enjoy working closely with the people who are involved in our production processes every day and get energy from finding practical solutions together that truly work.

Furthermore, you:

  • have completed a technical bachelor’s degree (HBO), for example in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Product Design or a similar field;
  • have an affinity with production, assembly, machinery and technical production lines;
  • have a practical mindset and enjoy tackling technical challenges;
  • have strong analytical skills and look for the root cause to solve problems structurally;
  • take responsibility and persevere until a problem is truly resolved;
  • enjoy working with operators, engineers, Quality and other disciplines;
  • identify opportunities for improvement and turn them into practical solutions;
  • have an affinity with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.

What do we offer you?

At Demcon, you work on technology that makes a difference. In an informal organisation where there is plenty of room for initiative and collaboration with driven colleagues, you contribute to solutions for today and tomorrow. At the same time, we genuinely care about you as a person and encourage job satisfaction and a healthy work-life balance.

In addition, you can expect:

  • A competitive salary;
  • 40 days of annual leave and 8% holiday allowance;
  • A good pension scheme with PME;
  • Opportunities to follow training programmes and courses through the Demcon Academy, allowing you to further develop your knowledge and skills;
  • A company laptop and phone;
  • An active staff association, with monthly activities such as social drinks, an annual Demcon weekend, and yearly sports events.
