Our business unit Demcon Industrial Systems (DIS) develops and delivers a wide range of projects for the (complex) machine-building industry. These projects range from partial developments or proof-of-principle setups to complete machines and fully integrated system solutions for our clients.

As a technician, you contribute to the realization of machines, modules, and measurement/test setups within our projects. Your involvement starts early in the project by contributing to the design, for example with regard to assembly. You have sufficient insight to create a functioning module or machine with minimal instruction. You are given the freedom to propose improvements and implement them in collaboration with your fellow (prototype) engineers.

You are involved throughout the entire process: from development, assembly, and integration to testing, delivery, technical support, service, and maintenance. You also play an active role in the development process by building test setups, performing system tests, and documenting and reporting findings to further improve the design.

You are well acquainted with the fields of (precision) mechanics and/or electronics. Working with a CAD or Eplan model, production drawings, or schematics for assembly comes naturally to you. Experience with manufacturing or modifying components through conventional turning or milling is a plus. In addition, you enjoy contributing ideas for solutions related to prototypes and assembly tools, and you are approachable for colleagues.

You have a broad interest in technology, for example in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering. You are eager to seize development opportunities within your field, which may also be oriented toward engineering or preparation for series production. You take ownership of your workshop, keeping it clean and organized, and you are proactive in structuring your work environment. You have an eye for detail and work accurately, but you are also willing to take a hands-on approach when needed. Sometimes this takes place at the client’s site, but most often in our own prototype workshop. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, and they can rely on your flexibility to support urgent needs when required.
